Studio Neal is a 16-track analog recording studio located in North Portland. We started in September of 2001, as a project studio to record demos for the local band Ex-Hustlers. Before long, we had accumulated some fairly decent gear and started recording other bands.

At the heart of Studio Neal is a Soundcraft TS-12 (32 x 12 x 2) console, with Mackie automation, and a Fostex E-16 series tape machine. Studio Neal's mission is to provide
a comfortable working environment, where bands can concentrate on the music they are making instead of the bill they'll be paying. Our affordable rates and relaxed atmosphere offer peace of mind and help inspire great performances.
