Obscure mention in the comments of a metal review

Strange, strange. Search the page for "pangs" and see how the pieces of the puzzle fall into place.

Pangs Podsafe Challenge Update: More Tiny Binary Life

"Sad Pastime" follows Bad Religion on the latest episode of Tiny Binary Life.

On some magic occasions, the iPod's shuffle function is like an oracle. Last night, Madvillain's "Figaro" was followed by Guided By Voices "The Ugly Vision" and it was brilliant.

Oh Mary

I am right here and and right now giving full acknowledgement of my life-long, irony-free love of Neil Diamond.

Rick Rubin is a genius. Neil, stripped to his core, just like Rubin did with Cash. It's like a fantasy come to life. The whole album is streaming from Myspace. I am part way into the first song. It is brilliant.

Pangs Podsafe Challenge Update: New Music Lab

"Sad Pastime" was played on New Music Lab.

It's winter in Portland. It's rainy and dark. You are driving in a car. It is time for some Wire. It is time for 154.

The internet is vastly strange and cool. Do you need some "Recommended Panther Music" ? I thought maybe you did.

Seriously, though, while this is one of the more bizarre places Stalemates & Sad Pastimes has ended up, it has ended up in so many odd virtual locations thanks to the internet and affiliate marketing that it boggles the mind. You can release something to Amazon and iTunes and eventually your record is everywhere, but, of course, nowhere it actually needs to be. I mean, I love parrots as much as the next guy, but what is this (scroll down or page search for the Pangs content)?

Now, for a great story about worthwhile internet marketing check this.

And then go round up "Fade Together" from the new Franz Ferdinand record. A great glimpse at what they might sound like besides themselves, eventually.

Pangs Podsafe Challenge Update: More RFL

The Reaching For Lucidity podcast played some more Pangs yesterday. This time "Sad Pastime." There's also a very cool song from a band called Poor Bailey as well.

Late to the party

Don't ya know I'm a 2003 Man. I got Pangs set up on Myspace.

Sadly, myspace.com/pangs was taken. Pangs foiled by Tin Tin! Worse things have happened, mostly in the 'Couv. Man, that one did NOT go well.
