PDXBands.com is owned and operated by Wire Creative in Portland, Oregon.
PDXBands.com presents music in mp3 format, for both streamed listening and download. Mp3s and .M3u (the mp3 playlist filetype we use for streaming) are supported by Winamp (recommended for PC), iTunes (recommended for Mac), Windows Media Player and Real Player. Quicktime will play both file types, but may not stream (it may download the entire file first).

If you click and nothing happens, the artist you selected may not have uploaded any music yet, or there may be an error, which you can report to us.
Netscape users: You may need to set a new MIME type in order to listen to
to streaming audio from PDXBands.com. It's easier than it sounds...
1. Under your browser's "Edit" menu, select "Preferences".
2. Select "Navigator" and then "Applications" from the category picker.
3. Press the "New Type" button.
4. Complete all four fields that pop up as follows:
- Description of type: Mp3 Audio Playlist
- File Extension: m3u
- MIME Type: audio/x-mpegurl
- Application to use: (browse to and select the audioplayer of your choice)

When you join PDXBands.com your band becomes part of the premier online
music resource in town. This includes a free listing in the PDXBands.com
directory and search engine, as well as an extended band info page, which
includes:

If you are a Portland area artist and would like to be listed on
PDXBands.com, simply do the following:
1. Click on any "Artists: Join" link (join right now)
2. Read our MUSIC SUBMISSION AGREEMENT. At the end of the agreement, click
continue.
3. Indicate whether you are a band or a solo artist.
4. Enter your band name (or first and last name if you are a solo artist).
5. Enter your email address.
9. Review your information and confirm your entry.
Once you have successfully created your account, you'll receive an email
with all your basic account information. Keep this for your records.
You can now continue to add information about your band, or return later
to complete your listing. Once you have registered, we'll review your
account information and activate your listing.
